SEAFOOD DEPARTMENT ASSISTANT MANAGER  –  Job Summary

Full Time Position    This position is now available.

This position assists the Seafood Department Manager with product, personnel, and fiscal management of the department.  The successful candidate will help to manage and lead the seafood department team to achieve department, store, and company goals by always providing fresh products with exceptional customer service.

Reports To:  Seafood Department Manager

This opening is for the Tukwila store, but initial induction will be at our Seattle store.  

Preferred Skill Sets, Qualifications, and Required Physical Abilities:

  • Associate Degree in business or related management field with at least 2 years in retail management experience, or
  • 4 years combined post secondary education and retail experience, with at least 1 year emphasis in seafood or supermarkets
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Knowledgeable to intermediate level in Microsoft Office desired
  • Strong communication skill sets
  • Possess good business acumen
  • Flexible scheduling with weekends availability
  • Able to work independently, as well as with teamwork
  • Ability to work with people of different backgrounds
  • Good command of the English language
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Able to see, read, write, talk, hear, walk, and climb ladders

Training:

  • Induction for position will take place at our Seattle store for a period of 4-6 weeks
